I am currently advising the Applause UX Research Practice on best practices in UX research for AI products, AI tool selection for an AI-assisted UX research workflow, and upskilling team members on the ever changing landscape in UX and AI. (February 2024 - present)As Head of Conversation Design at OpenDialog AI, I built text-based NLU and generative AI experiences to automate customer service in the insurance industry, including an assistant for managing rental car collections that achieved 82% automation and a 25% uplift in sales just days after deployment. Further implementation of improvements based on data analysis and additional user testing will increase automation by another 4%. I established UX-driven best practices for creating successful conversational experiences and created a video-based course for the OpenDialog conversational AI SaaS platform that reduces time-to-mastery by 85%. (October 2022 - February 2024)Through CDI Services I engaged in a short-term strategic consulting engagement to help Optum Health identify gaps in their IVR to IVA transformation development cycle. I also performed expert reviews on voice assistant design specs. (September 2022)At Native Voice I led the design for the Weather Channel voice assistant.
