I lead McKinsey's efforts in Digital Assets (incl. cryptocurrencies, blockchain and web3). I help executives primarily in financial services (incl. banks, payment companies, exchanges, capital markets infrastructure providers, investment funds and crypto startups) understand the implications of digital assets and web3, and guide our clients on crafting their strategy or launching new products in the space.

At Umicore, I managed an international multimillion 3-year research project commissioned by the European Space Agency. The goal of the project was to further deepen our product understanding and improve our product quality. In order to execute my experiments, I managed a team of three white collar and four blue collar workers. In addition to my research responsibilities, I managed two strategic CAPEX investment files with a budget of several millions. I was responsible for the selection of the equipment supplier, the writing and presenting of the internal investment analysis and the negotiations of the purchasing conditions, effectively coordinated the efforts of our production, engineering and EHS departments.Finally, my responsibilities entailed the commercial support of our global customer base. I traveled across the world to support our clients in their product understanding, manage technical complaints and incorporate their feedback into our product quality. During my tenure, I implemented changes that resulted in a 97% decrease in the product rejection rate and protected this intellectual property in a utility model patent.
