I recently retired from SAP and am looking to get back into the workforce. I worked for SAP for many years, and the reason I stayed with them for so long was that I had been given the opportunity to do the things that I loved, working with some wonderful and extremely talented people, and in a really awesome environment.The executives that I supported in Marketing were great. As an executive assistant, I was treated as a valued member of their management team, which was very important to me. What assistants do is important to the success of a company, and I can see how what I did connected to our success. Creativity is one of my strengths, and I have a passion for event and meeting planning. I was blessed to have had a job where I could use my talent, and I created many very memorable events for SAP.As one of the more senior assistants at SAP, I was a member of our Administrative Professionals council where our goal was to share knowledge and best practices. I loved being able to share what I learned over the years. We had an online community called JAM, where we shared information with all of the SAP assistants across North America. Social Media has become increasingly important in the role of an executive assistant, and l learned something new every day working for this wonderful technology company, SAP!
