Monitor plant equipment and respond accordingly to ensure safe plant operation.Ensure all safety practices and procedures are continuously maintained and implemented.Make sure all equipment in good condition and reliable for safe operating, collect & record data routinely.Operate equipment by referring to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Special Instruction to achieve safe operation.Prepare / check & gas test area / equipment prior to issuing of PTW and monitor the job for… Show more Monitor plant equipment and respond accordingly to ensure safe plant operation.Ensure all safety practices and procedures are continuously maintained and implemented.Make sure all equipment in good condition and reliable for safe operating, collect & record data routinely.Operate equipment by referring to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Special Instruction to achieve safe operation.Prepare / check & gas test area / equipment prior to issuing of PTW and monitor the job for the duration of the work in progress to ensure such maintenance activities are carried out safely.Problem troubleshooting of process problems & report to Shift Superintendent all abnormal conditions for further actions.Perform plant start-up and shut down safely and timely.Conduct test run on equipment and instrumentation after completion of maintenance.Respond to all Emergency situations in accordance with Emergency Response Plan procedure & do corrective action during plant / quality upset to minimize losses.Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities on selected equipment.Performs independently the normally occurring operational (incl. sampling and testing of process monitoring samples) and relevant non-operational activities and under varying operational circumstances (normal operation, start-up/shut-down, emergency shut down etc.).Performs certain engineering work (when time available) such as, but not limited to, the insertion/withdrawal of spades, turning of spectacle blinds. Lubrication of e.g. valves, pumps, motors, cleaning of filters, changing of valves, remedying of leaks or removal of insulation, emergency repair (if necessary) and resetting of equipment.Ensures a correct, safe and timely availability of equipment and instrumentation to be submitted for repair and looks after their acceptance, testing and commissioning after delivery to Operations.
