I was lucky enough to apply and given a role at Waitrose during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This was something totally new to me (and yes we did run out of toilet rolls!) but did not want to have a break in employment as I did not qualify for any Furlough or SEISS Grants, It was a great experience learning new skills and working with professionals in other fields too whilst the world was in lockdown. Daily Tasks at Waitrose:- Picker For Online Orders. - Replenish Shelves- Loading/Unloading Deliveries During The Night.- Ensure Compliance Standards Are Met (Stock Rotation, Time Chain, Quality, Wastage)- Ensure The Store Is Presentable And Faceup Items Before Opening To Customers. - Responsible For All Items Used By Pickers, Setting up Trolleys, Wheels, Crates, Tickets. Furthermore, I have also assisted in assigning roles and duties to fellow partners when instructed to by management. This includes setting tasks to complete and regularly checking on colleagues to ensure these tasks are completed to a satisfactory level.
