I was born in Istanbul, Turkiye. I received my BArch degree from Department of Architecture, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Istanbul, Turkiye in 2010; followed by my MSc degree in History of Architecture program in the same university in 2012. My major field of study was Late Period of Ottoman Architecture and Ottoman gardens and I prepared my MSc thesis on “The 19th Century Garden Kiosks of Istanbul” which was published as a book in 2020.After working in Garanti Gallery Architecture and Design Database Project in Garanti Platform Contemporary Art Gallery in Istanbul in 2010, I worked as an architect respectively in Gul Bozanti Architecture, Idea Architecture and Mimat Architecture until 2012 when I became an assistant professor in Architecture Department of Fatih Sultan Mehmet University, Istanbul, Turkiye. I continued this position until moving to Barcelona for my PhD studies. I have completed my PhD in 2018 in Institute of History Jaume Vicens i Vives (Institut Universitari d'Història Jaume Vicens i Vives) of Pompeu Fabra University (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) with a major interest on contemporary urban history and transformation of public space in the city of Barcelona. After moving to South Korea in 2019, I worked as a full-time visiting professor in Urban Planning and Design in University of Seoul (UOS) until 2022. I worked as architect and team manager in Mirae Environment Plan Architects & Planners Co. Ltd in 2022.I am currently working as assistant professor in Urban Ecology in University of Utah Asia Campus.
