My mission as an Accounting Specialist is to ensure the administration and development of processes and activities related to local accounts payable (AP) and inter-company partners (AP/AR). As such, my main tasks include:1. Receiving, verifying, and validating supplier invoices in coordination with heads of logistics operations departments ;2. Processing and validating data related to accounts payable, tracking deadlines, and preparing payment proposals ;3. Checking invoice entries in the information system (billing check), managing billing disputes with vendors, categorizing and forwarding invoices to clerks for booking ;4. Bank reconciliation (debit) and handling of immediate payment requests ;5. Working closely with clerks and financial controllers to ensure proper recording and allocation of invoices and payments ;6. Conducting control and monitoring activities such as generating periodic reports and participating in monthly and annual closures;7. My main mission consists in preparing the statements of comprehensive income for ship calls at the port of Bejaia, under the supervision of the Vessel Accounts Responsible and the Finance Director. I also ensure the collection of receivables, verification and recording of payments, as well as bank reconciliation. As such, my main functions are:1. Collection, recording and monitoring of Vessel Accounts revenues (freight and demurrage) ;2. Opening Vessel Accounts and compiling physical files while ensuring compliance with regulatory documentation requirements (Comprehensive income statements, A40 extract, revenue and disbursement invoices, payment proofs, BL copies, valued manifest extracts, arrival notices…etc) ;3. Permanent monitoring and consolidation of due Vessel Accounts, production of periodic reports on vessel accounts balances, unpaid invoices, contentious files…etc ;4. Providing continuous customer care and responding to their requests such as negociating payment schedules, calculating demurrage/detention quotes, issuing Import and Export invoices (agency and handling fees).

I had the opportunity to be an intern at the Management and Audit department of EPB as part of a study on “The contribution of accounting to environmental management”.My main goals were to:1. Analyze the integrated management program and identify the environmental risks and impacts of EPB’s activity2. Identify the limits of the Environmental Management System (EMS)3. Determine how accounting competence can contribute to improving the EMS4. Evaluate the attitude of accountants/financial managers/controllers towards environmental accounting through a questionnaire study

Discovery internship in the accounting department of a company. This experience allowed me to become familiar with the business world and to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. My work as an intern consisted of:1. The identification of the Accounting Department role and scope of responsibilities within the hierarchy and understanding its interactions with other structures such as Finance and Administration, Sales and Management Control.2. Commercial and Financial performance analysis.3. Understanding VAT declaration (G50) preparation process and methodology.4.
