As an Illustrator, Designer, Cartoonist, and Animator with over 25 years of global experience, my work spans from traditional drawing methods to modern digital techniques. My journey began in Greenwich Village, New York, and continued in Zurich, Switzerland, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and design.I was the inaugural artist for Google Doodles, where I applied my creative skills to develop concepts that continue to be a part of the Google brand. My work has been featured in The New Yorker, MAD Magazine, and various international publications. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with a wide range of clients, from advertising campaigns to children’s television and corporate projects.In addition to my independent work, I have held roles as Art Director and Creative Director at several organizations, including Sham Records, Ja-Tail Enterprises LLC, and Plushland Inc. I’ve led creative projects for clients like Coca-Cola, where I designed recycling comics, and I created the official mascot for the Ski World Championship 2003.My education includes studies at the Literargymnasium Rämibühl in Zurich, the F+F School for Art and Design, and the Academy of Entertainment & Technology at Santa Monica College. I am fluent in English, German, and Swiss German, with proficiency in French and a basic understanding of Italian.Career milestones include my first professional publication at 16, creating the first series of Google Doodles, and a nomination for the National Cartoonist Society’s Reuben Award in 2002. In 2020, I published “Marvin: Based on the Way I Was” by Marvin Hamlisch, which further reflects my commitment to visual storytelling.I am currently or have been a full member of the National Cartoonist Society, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and Mensa.
