Current● hired to own usability on a cellular basestation product ● lobbied hard for a radical shift in how the software is delivered, in turn architecting and implementing an optimized embedded firmware (~40MB) to replace Ubuntu packages (>2GB) ● architected and implemented a licensing system to improve product monetization rates ● took over and automated release engineering, added multi-component build testing ● took over and revamped the quarterly customer and employee training: a three-day combination of lecture and hands-on workshop ● authored "Getting Started with OpenBTS" published by O'Reilly Media ● designed and implemented: • a command and event API layer, refactored all components to use it • a new single-page-application framework and UI to expose the unified component APIs • an atomic remote backup, restore and upgrade mechanism to improve support’s ability to replicate customer installations • SIP signaling integrations with common customer backends such as Twilio, Ring Central, Cisco Call Manager, Kazoo and Asterisk to automate deployments • several real-time system and radio activity visualizers
