Technology, for me, has been about enabling people to reach their potential. If a process can be done correctly in a manual fashion, why not automate it? If a best practice can be demonstrated by one individual, why not spread that knowledge across an entire organization or company? If we can leverage data to make routine decisions, why not utilize machine learning? As a software developer and software test engineer earlier in my career, I have become very adept at understanding customer needs and improving software quality through rigorous testing, bug triages, and conducting knowledge transfer sessions. In the past few years, acting as a program manager/scrum master, I have utilized that keen eye for detail to help my teams identify impediments or areas for improvement, and pushed them to address these deficiencies to avoid running into a particular problem more than once. Also, having a background as a developer, and being able to think as a developer, has helped garner trust and confidence with those that I work with.In my spare time, you can find me out enjoying nature, whether that be hiking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, or playing volleyball. I’m also passionate about environmental issues and living a sustainable life, and I have been a lead member of F5’s informal environmental group. If you would like to chat about agile best practices, technology, or the environment, please contact me via LinkedIn or email. I always welcome new ideas, viewpoints, and opportunities to learn something new.
