Security Analyst
CurrentAs a Security Analyst since January 2022, I have been actively engaged in various hands-on tasks that have contributed significantly to enhancing cybersecurity measures and mitigating potential threats. One of my key responsibilities involved setting up and configuring OpenVAS and Nessus Essentials, enabling comprehensive vulnerability scans against Linux hosts. This allowed for the identification of potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities that could be addressed proactively.Furthermore, I successfully deployed a VM in Azure and skillfully extracted inbound traffic metadata from the Windows event viewer through a custom PowerShell script. This data was then forwarded to a third-party API, enabling us to derive essential geolocation information. I further harnessed the capabilities of Microsoft Sentinel to visually represent global RDP brute force attack data on a world map, effectively pinpointing the geographic origins of these malicious attempts through log analytics. To detect and analyze potential data exfiltration sources, I proficiently worked with PCAP files using Wireshark, unraveling critical insights to enhance data security. My expertise extended beyond technical proficiency as I prepared and presented a comprehensive report analyzing a company data breach. This comprehensive analysis involved identifying both human and technical vulnerabilities while proposing effective mitigating solutions to fortify the organization's security posture.Additionally, I took the initiative to design a unique website that assessed an individual's susceptibility to social engineering based on their personality traits, providing valuable insights to bolster security awareness among team members. Through these experiences, I have continually demonstrated a steadfast commitment to safeguarding digital assets and promoting a resilient security infrastructure.
