Activities: Law Review

I worked remotely as a writing tutor and college application consultant with students from around the world, planning and delivering curricula specific to each student.

I advised students on their applications to top US Universities.

As a live-in staff, I enforced program standards and provided guidance on adjusting to college life, independent living, and cultural immersion for US college students studying abroad.

I provided individualized feedback on student essays and gave in-class presentations on writing and research techniques. I also developed and delivered a workshop introducing key ideas in Critical Theory.

On a secondment from my role at FIE in London, I planned extracurricular trips and activities for the upcoming semester, organized meetings, collated information from student information database, paid invoices, updated budget spreadsheets, and took minutes in meetings.

In the fall term, I advised applicants to US Universities, providing in-depth writing feedback on their application essays. In January, I transitioned to a classroom teaching role in the English department, where I led seminars on contemporary American literature. I also developed and delivered a special course on the American short story.

I gave writing feedback to ~30 students (grades 10 and 11) and led daily discussion sections for two courses on philosophy and intellectual history.

I provided critical feedback on essays and research papers for first-year students (2-3 per term) in a curriculum centered on foundational philosophical and literary texts

I led daily sections for expository writing classes of ~15 students each (grades 8 and 9) and provided critical feedback on ~75 essays. I also presented at two college admissions advice panels for ~500 high school students.

I coordinated events for upcoming titles at a local nonprofit publisher, researching venues, pitching and organizing 30+ author events. I also designed and executed events newsletters for 4,500 subscribers.
