I have several years of experience working in forest research. I studied different afforestation measures, the effect of abiotic stresses on seedling growth, reclamation afforestation of cutaway peatlands, and seed predation. Currently, I work at "Skyseed" - a Berlin-based start-up helping to rebuild ecosystems at scale using drones, pelletized seeds, and knowledge about forest ecology. My main tasks are to develop an ecological "knowledge base," establish and monitor the research areas and streamline processes used for rebuilding forest ecosystems, among others.I am also a co-leader of a working group, "Planting for The Future," of an EU COST Action PEN-CAFoRR (CA 19128), where we develop feedback loops to improve communication between forest scientists and practitioners and promote forward-looking science.As a person, I can see the forest for the trees and have a positive outlook on life. My colleagues have always described me as resourceful, organized, and approachable.
