Since 2004, I have been working in medicine and science, and my career has taken me down many avenues surrounding these areas, most notably in the cannabis industry.I attended the University of Lethbridge, where I focused on Ecology in the laboratory of Dr. Bill Cade with a focus on plant life and their interaction across organisms and their environment.I then transitioned into medicine, completing clinical learning at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago, IL. Part of my studies while in Chicago was assisting patients in opioid recovery and understood cannabis as a treatment modality for pain. I soon recognized that the cannabis industry lacked a fundamental understanding of cannabis in areas including safety, science, and objective based application.I joined the 420 Clinic in 2016, which was the first medical cannabis resource center in Alberta. I transitioned into the recreational cannabis industry with FOUR20 in 2018, focusing on developing engaging education and training modules and content for both the staff, and external stakeholders. In addition, I built the curriculum for and taught the cannabis course at Olds College.I am currently working as a contractor taking on work from content creation, instructing, education/syllabus design, and cannabis-related work.
