The Behavioral Insights Lab is on a mission to help social change practitioners design and implement the most effective social change interventions possible by using behavioral science-based research to continuously improve interventions. We provide social change organizations with highly actionable, timely insights to inform their campaigns and service delivery programs. Inexpensive, near-real-time behavioral research has the potential to revolutionize public health campaigns and programming – making them more efficient and effective. By leveraging the power of social and digital platforms alongside powerful behavior models, the Behavioral Insights Lab is working to make behavioral science research more accessible to practitioners by making it less expensive, faster, and immediately actionable.

The Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity aims to develop global leaders who have the knowledge, skills, and courage to build more equitable health systems, organizations, and communities. Health equity speaks to the idea of fairness in realizing the benefits of public health and health care. Despite progress, less advantaged groups continue to live shorter lives and health gaps persist within and between countries.The fellowship trains leaders to recognize, understand, and bridge these health gaps. It aims to create a global network of committed leaders working across across societies and nations to promote health equity.

Ideal candidates are experts in their fields who have a deep understanding of broad development challenges and a passion for communicating their views.

So far I have provided mentorship to three (3) students with the following research topics:(1) Progress and challenges in Neglected Tropical Diseases control: case study in Taraba State, Northeastern Nigeria (2011); (2) The perceptions of access to family planning services by women and men in Kaduna state, Nigeria: a qualitative study (2010);(3) Stakeholders’ perceptions of effect of Active Management of the Third Stage of Labour (AMTSL) in reducing Post Partum Haemorrhage (PPH) and on effect of the Non-pneumatic Anti Shock garment (NASG) in saving women’s lives in Ibadan, Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria (2009).
