I am a digital storyteller on a mission to elevate the voices of women. Currently, I am the founder of one of the largest communities for women of colour - the DANG Community with over 1,000,000 upwardly mobile women. Born out of Africa but now across multiple regions within Europe and North America, we are focused on empowering women with the tools to own and share their stories without restrictions, create meaningful connections and conversations, and drive empowerment and inclusivity through the power of storytelling. In 2024, the DANG Women Fest had its first event, which gathered over 700 women in a vibrant reaffirmation and celebration of the strength found in diversity of womanhood.Through compelling digital content and carefully curated live events, we leverage the stories of women of our community to inspire change, celebrate uniqueness, and champion diversity. It was through this process that we discovered a gap in the market - a lack of skin care products catering to people with melanin-rich skin. This led to the creation of our global skincare brand, Dang! Lifestyle Brand, a skincare and fragrance company catering majorly to melanin-rich skin inspired wholly by our community.As the Founder, I spearhead the management and operations of the business. From launch to date, 3 years, the Dang Skincare brand has sold over 450,000 thousand units across various countries in Africa, Europe, and North America without any major influencer marketing campaign. Our success stems from our core- telling authentic stories that resonate with women globally.My goal as an entrepreneur, advocate, and storyteller is to revolutionize the beauty and wellness industry by changing the narrative for women with melanin-rich skin. For our community, it isn't just about creating products - it's a celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and empowerment - for us and by us. Embodying the values of authenticity and empowerment, I want to create a world where every woman feels seen, represented, and celebrated in the products she uses and the stories she hears.In addition, my insights into the power of storytelling have led to major brand collaborations and partnerships. Educating corporate entities, leaders, and teams on how to create compelling stories that engage, educate, and inspire a diverse audience and deliver meaningful and measurable impact.
