When I think about how best to describe my character in efforts to give a first impression, I am reminded of a phrase echoed in almost every parent teacher conference I had the pleasure of attending: “Ife is always going to do what Ife wants to do”. And I take pride in saying that I’ve lived my life according to those terms. I always knew that regardless of what I chose to do with my life, I needed to make people smile. There was a time where I interpreted that as a sign I should become a dentist and spend my day analyzing smiles, but it didn't take long for me to realize that playing amateur surgeon on unsuspecting mouths wasn't quite my jam. I watched films, designed graphics, and curated playlists, all in an attempt to distract myself from the anxiety of choosing another career path. Little did I realize, however, that I wasn't distracting myself at all; instead, I was actually engaging in the very creative work that brings me fulfillment. So far, I've been an Student Assistant, President, Mentor, Urban Promotions Intern, Multi-Media Intern, Radio Intern and Marketing Intern; and with each role uncovering a deep passion for storytelling, branding, and creating immersive experiences that captivate audiences. Whatever lies ahead, I'm confident it will allow me to harmoniously blend my love for marketing and curation with my love for multimedia content, forging a career where creativity and strategy meet-cute.
