Ifenla Oligbinde is a young woman in politics (2023 House of Assembly Candidate), writer and inclusion advocate with over 10 years experience in project management and community development. She is passionate about advancing democratic values through Advocacy, Good Governance, Gender Equality and Education. She is the Founder of Ark and Rainbow Development Foundation (ARDF), a non-profit organization that aims to strengthen democratic values and governance by increasing youth and women participation in democratic, decision-making and political processes, and Mind and Ink Consult, a writing and ideation consultancy firm.She is one of the youngest National Working Committee members of the African Democratic Congress and a critical stakeholder in the 2023 General Elections, having designed programs to increase spaces for over 1000 women and youths to run for office.As an inclusion advocate and writer, she has designed research frameworks for persons with disabilities: "Report on the Year 2020 COVID-19 Disability Response by the Network of Disabled Women", "Qualitative Research Study on the Impact of Corruption on the Lives of Persons with Disabilities in the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria" and "Policy Brief (Legislative Reform) to Enhance the Political Participation of Women and Girls with Disabilities".She was the first and only Nigeria selected for the McCain Global Leaders program in 2023; a 2023 Mandela Washington Fellow, studied Leadership in Public Management track at the Cornell University in Ithaca, New York; Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Center West Africa Fellow and African Civic Engagement Academy Fellow amongst others. She is currently a 2024 Civic Charge Fellow by Accountability Lab where she is getting practical support to catalyse the scale and impact of her existing programs, and most recently, selected as a "Women in Africa Young Leader Laureate" by WIA Philanthropy.At Ark and Rainbow Development Foundation, Ifenla is on a mission to raise at least $100,000 to support 200 young Nigerian women aged 25-45 for their participation in democratic processes, decision-making and politics, ahead of the 2027 General Elections. This mission is being carried out through ARDF's flagship program, "Strengthening Her Aspirations for Political Engagement" - SHAPE Fellowship.
