Predoctoral researcher in the field of biomedical engineering with a very competitive grant (Marie Curie cofund - La Caixa INPhINIT).Thesis title: ‘Novel m-Health and multimodal physiological biomarkers for non-invasive monitoring and home healthcare of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease patients with comorbidities’. A research stay was performed at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Berlin, Germany) to investigate the effects of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in sleep apnea.Qualification: Excellent Cum Laude article-based thesis with an international doctorate mention. The thesis has been awarded with two excellence prizes (La Caixa INPhINIT and IBEC's excellence award) and yeld 4 Q1 publications in journals, 3 indexed international congress papers plus some other science dissemination projects. The development of the doctoral thesis included the following tasks:• Managing the doctoral thesis project in terms of bureaucracy, reports, and feedback to the institution that gave the grant.• Perform data analysis that includes downloading, cleaning, transforming, analyzing, and extracting information from health data.• Designing protocols to acquire databases for the assessment of the hypotheses of the thesis.
