Joined as Financial Controller at Karachi Sheraton Hotel. Later transferred to Sheraton Harare, Zimbabwe and promoted to Area Controller East & Southern Africa Region. Performed opening of Sheraton Dar es Salaam Hotel in Tanzania and worked as Director Finance till the owners decided to change over to other Management Company. Awarded Controller of the year Award for EAME - South Asia Region 1986 and Sheraton EAME President Award (Sheraton Harare Hotel 1992 and Sheraton Dar es Salaam Hotel 1997).

Joined Hotel InterContinental Rawalpindi during 1968 as Food & Beverage Cost Controller and was promoted as Asstt. Financial Controller. Later transferred to IHC Monrovia, Liberia, Livingstone, Lusaka before finally returning to IHC Rawalpindi during 1983 as Financial Controller.
