During my second summer working at Camp Aldersgate, I performed 3 positions at the same time:- Assistant Waterfront Director: I performed a lifeguard and the WaterFront Assistant Director positions. I made active surveillance and ensured that security was achieved and rules were followed in the facility, granting a safe space where everybody could relish. I realized the WF Director duties during weekends, which included leading a group up to 5 to 7 lifeguards and being in charge of the running of the facility. - Athletics Director: I administered the sports area and all the sports material and coordinated all the activities that involved using them or doing any kind of sport. I was in charge of groups up to 25 kids. - Camp Counselor: I built an environment where every kid could feel confortable and have fun, so they could enjoy as much as possible their time with us at camp. I mentored and coached children aged 4 to 17 from diverse backgrounds, being a counselor, a role model and a friend for them. I guided campers in team working activities, helping them to develop their interpersonal and social skills when making friends.
