• Ensure compliance to local and federal food safety standards, including (but not limited to) FSMA, FDA and USDA, Organic requirements.• Ensure that Lineage processes and systems are adequate to implement, achieve and maintain GFSI certifications (SQF), in coordination with all company’s facilities and Food Safety individuals.• Design and implement new initiatives to meet regulatory standards.• Conduct SQF Gap Analysis for sites pursuing SQF certification. • Conduct Internal Audits /Gap audits for Good Distribution Practices - GDP sites• Management the development, implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Programs. • Assist in claim investigations and corrective actions as it relates to food safety.• Work directly with facility management to ensure best practices and processes are implemented throughout the company.• Coordinate initiatives within the organization to comply with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements.• Facilitate and coordinate efficient and effective Food Safety standards, in line with customer expectations and achieving company’s performance targets.• Promote Food Safety awareness throughout the organization• Work closely with Operations, Legal, Safety and Sales teams to ensure communication of current best practices.• Support implementation of necessary systems and databases, including but not limited to: document control, internal non-conformance tracking/resolution and SOP writing.Analyze audit results to develop and recommend appropriate program changes, to ensure customer and regulatory compliance.
