I am currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a concentration in business and corporate law. Additionally, I hold a law degree from the University of Montevideo in Uruguay and have worked as a corporate attorney at the law firm of Jimenez de Arechaga, Viana + Brause in Uruguay for the last four years. As a new attorney out of law school, I gained experience as a litigation lawyer where I represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters and bankruptcy proceedings. This experience taught me a pragmatic approach towards the practice of law. More recently, I have focused my practice in the field of corporate law and have rendered advice on a wide range of deals including general corporate matters, and drafting, negotiating and implementing corporate, commercial and banking agreements to a very diversified set of clients. Through this practice, I have gained sound legal experience in complex finance transactions and international business transactions. Furthermore, I was significantly involved in several Project Finance deals with large internationally known banks. My experience in this area includes drafting and negotiation of the following documents: Due Diligence Reports, Facility Agreements, Share Pledge Agreements, Assignment of Receivables, Mortgages, Service Agreements, Account Agreements and Account Pledge Agreements among others.
