About Ignacio Mendoza

Ignacio Mendoza, Jr. was born in McAllen, Texas, and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. He graduated from Veterans Memorial High School in Mission and continued his education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Ignacio then served as an educator at La Joya ISD teaching computer applications and college readiness to middle school students. Ignacio later earned his law degree at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he enjoyed working as a research assistant and tutoring other law students. Subsequently, Ignacio graduated with Honors as the Salutatorian of the Class of 2015. After admission into the State Bar of Texas in 2015, he began his legal career with the Hidalgo County Public Defender's Office and later began his solo practice firm where he expanded his area of law into civil litigation, as well as became a certified guardianship attorney.Ignacio joined the McAllen branch of Gault, Nye & Quintana in 2020. His practice areas include construction defect litigation, premise liability, medical malpractice, auto/commercial transportation, personal injury, wrongful death, business disputes, professional negligence, etc. Ignacio is committed to providing quality legal representation specific to his client’s needs and works hard to ensure outcomes in the best interest of his client either through negotiated settlements, at mediation, or through jury trial.Ignacio is a devoted married father of three children. He enjoys fishing, hunting, playing flag football, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. He has served as a youth leader for his parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and believes in the value of serving one's community.
