HYBRICYL project presents novel preparative methods developed towards the fabrication of organic-inorganic heterojunctions in coaxial geometry using arrays of parallel cylindrical nanochannels. The aim of this project is to provide new experimental insight into the function of photovoltaic (PV) systems and optimize the geometrical parameters to improve their efficiency. The goal structures will be achieved based on three different elements: a) nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) films, b) atomic layer deposition (ALD) of inorganic semiconductors, and c) the use of organic semiconductors as hole transporter materials and bulk heterojunctions.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
- Fabrication of nanostructures based on semiconductor oxides for energy applications, in particular, solar energy conversion.- Laboratory demonstrator for 3rd-year students in Physics, in the synthesis of oxide nanostructures for energy applications.- Project management.
Phd Student (Jae-Pre Doc Fellowship)
- Supervisors: Manuel Hernández-Vélez and Manuel Vázquez Villalabeitia- Development of several works based on the fabrication of modulated nanoporous anodic alumina templates for electrodeposition of magnetic and semiconductor nanowires. This study opened a new research line in the research group which nowadays is still undergoing.- Internships in Germany and Singapore.
