Falconbridge Inc, was a Canadian company listed in Toronto and New York, with operations in 18 countries. It was active in exploration, mining, processing and marketing of metals and minerals products, including Copper, Zinc, Nickel, and Platinum. In 2005, it merged with Noranda and, in August 2006, it was acquired by the UK-Swiss firm Xstrata plc, which was its largest shareholder at the time.In Chile, Falconbridge owned assets including 44% of the Collahuasi JV, 100% of Minera Lomas Bayas, Energia Austral, the Altonorte smelter, Pachon, 70% of the El Morro project and 50% of the Westwall project.Responsible for financing and financial investments, cash management, foreign exchange, implementation of tax planning, representative in all the group’s companies, member of the Treasury committee which advised the Collahuasi board on relevant issues. Noranda Inc was a mining and metallurgical company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, which owned mining operations, smelters and refineries. It participated in the Antamina JV, Its main asset in Chile was the Altonorte smelter.Responsible for finance and financial investments, cash management, foreign exchange, representative in all the group’s companies. National roles in the companies owned by the group. Reported to CFO of Copper Business Unit in Canada.

Responsible for commercial management and administration of a portfolio of clients with assets worth a total of US$120 million. Coordination of different support areas for commercial management, such as risk analysis, B2B marketing, operations, foreign trade and various banking subsidiaries. I managed to surpass my established targets, achieved net growth in deposits, reduce portfolio risk and led important debt restructurings.
