▪ Hired to provide tax planning and accounting services for over 350 clients including international investors owning US real property or businesses, professional service firms, real estate development, insurance companies, mid-size retailers, manufacturers, and high net worth families. ▪ Collaborate with various Partners and Directors to research tax laws, review financial information, review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns, assist and educate foreign clientele, respond to IRS notices, and identify areas for cross-selling and tax planning opportunities.▪ Leverage accounting background to identify opportunities to gain positive tax outcomes. ► Managed monthly and annual filing of sales and income tax returns for a large international manufacturer with filing requirements in thirteen (13) states. Prepared all supporting documentation, created excel macros which broke out sales by state, and identified accounting errors that lead to significant tax savings going forward.► Supported audits of government and nonprofit entities with state and federal aid. Reviewed financials of companies with revenues in excess of $10M. ► Acted as representative for a client undergoing a state tax audit, reduced assessed sales tax by more than 70% through research and proper interpretation of applicable sales tax laws.
