• Leading the Branch Applications Mgmt. team who is responsible for defining the strategic roadmap for technology platforms (CRM, Portals, Online Appointments, etc.) supporting our retail network.• Managing the change mgmt. and governance process to facilitate the collaboration with different stakeholders across the bank, define priorities, consistently execute and deliver on the application's roadmap.• Overseeing the user escalation support team to 480 branches, call centers and back office business lines, in charge of administration and incident management for our application portfolio.

• Spearheaded a brand new team to be responsible for InfoSec Delivery at Santander Bank Mexico and execute on a $14M project portfolio in 2021, which includes initiatives on: GRC, IAM, PAM, Sec Ops, Infrastructure, Sec Architecture and PCI Compliance.• Led mission critical initiatives as part of our maturity model (based on NIST framework) across multiple geographies (NY, FL, TX, MA, PR) and security programs: GLBA, MFA, Passwords Security Controls, Vulnerability Management and Networking Enhancements.• Successfully executed and supported time-sensitive regulatory remediation programs (MRAs) related to Data Protection and Third Party Risk Management.• Developed and implemented DEI initiatives for the LatinX employee network: Lunch & Learn Series and Virtual Employee Networking.

• Successfully led the Retail Lending Technology project portfolio for the CIO group with a combined annual budget of $15M that includes major strategic initiatives to transform the majority of the legacy systems serving this line of business. • Performed the Single Point of Accountability role for the Consumer Lending (CL) business units: Mortgages, Personal and Auto, which includes project delivery, incident and compliance management, systems stability and technology strategic planning.• Built a high performing team to run the Lending Technology CIO operation with great results reducing the execution time for multi-million highly visible complex initiatives from years to months (i.e. DocuTech conversion from WKFS in less than 6 mo).• Led the replacement of the current CL LOS (CMSI) with FICO’s OM platform which includes all channels (web, mobile, branches, contact center) and all internal LoBs (Ops, Fraud, UW, etc.), and introducing an agile methodology as a pilot for the organization.• Supported the Bank’s aggressive inorganic growth through strategic partnerships for Auto and CL, which have included assessing potential deals with industry players like: SoFi (personal loans), GreenSky (POS), Santander Consumer (Auto), among others.

Funding Lab is a virtual advisory program that helps early-stage startups raise seed funding. Participants work closely with the Founder Institute's team to improve their pitch materials, build an investor pipeline, pitch to angels, negotiate terms, and generate strong investor interest. Funding Lab is only available to Graduates of the Founder Institute program.

The Founder Institute is a global network of startups and mentors that helps entrepreneurs launch great technology companies around the globe. Some of the highlights of my journey with this incredible team are:• Successfully ran the acceleration program (2 years remotely in Costa Rica & locally in Boston since 2015) with a graduation pool of 40+ companies, built local teams in each city and strong relationships with mentors, partners, media and sponsors.• Performed multiple functional roles as part of this effort: sales/marketing, recruitment, community management, speaker and panel moderator, startup/founder mentor, partnerships, go-to-market strategy, technology and operations.• Coached and mentored founders to help them shape their company vision, work on the business and go-to-market strategy, customer validation, MVP development and fundraising.

Making connections for different purposes: new potential businesses, mentoring and coaching (business models, lean startup, inbound marketing, etc.) and looking for investment partners. Also, supporting the Startup Genome project effort (www.startupgenome.com) and Startup Digest (www.startupdigest.com) as curator for Costa Rica.Most recently, as the Costa Rican chapter Co-Director for the Founder Institute (www.fi.co), looking to increase the volume of tech startups in the country.

At NTT Data Americas I have been able to:• Led product development for Santander Bank as part of the Processes team at ISBAN US. Responsible for project management and business analyst activities, as well as supporting end-to-end the integration process.• Successfully performed the project management role on strategic engagements at key accounts in the US market (Citibank, Standard & Poors)• Actively supported internal groups as part of the Agile Center of Excellence and integration teams working on different efforts associated with the group’s recent acquisitions: best practices unification, and an enhanced more efficient delivery model to support growth, among others.

• Successfully negotiated and led a pilot project for World Vision to implement a microfinance banking core in Ecuador, a critical milestone in the internationalization strategy of the company. Involved stakeholders from 8 different countries, across a multiple time zones, cultures and languages.• Negotiated and executed consulting projects for both multinational organizations, including Chiquita Brands and Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), and local companies in Costa Rica from retail, banking and telecommunications industries.• Represented Gears Soft and appointed President of IT Innovation Group, the first software industry consortium in Costa Rica, created to support members in their efforts to export services to international markets (Latin America, US and EU).

• Led software development groups of 20 engineers with $1M revenue, using Agile (Scrum) and traditional methodologies to deliver web-based solutions to US customers in the education industry (mostly large publishers). • Handled communications, reporting, logistics, billing, staffing, training and motivation, and served as a liaison between the development team, the company and the customer.• Managed the internal Product Development efforts to develop a Learning Content Management System, starting with the user stories and finishing with the User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Restructured the quality assurance function of the company into an independent Business Unit to ensure customer satisfaction with the company’s deliverables and to create a new revenue stream offering Testing services.• Achieved $1M sales with a team of 22 engineers, and supported other pre-sales teams as Subject Matter Expert in quality topics.• Led the development and implementation of best practices using international standards (ISO-9000, CMMi, Scrum and PMBOK) across the organization.

• Successfully coordinated a $6.5M project to expand Intel’s IT operations in Costa Rica, which involved the integration of multiple project plans and diverse stakeholders.• Performed business process analysis and redesign to improve the overall perception of targeted corporate services.

Some of the most important achievements were the following:• Negotiated and executed consulting projects for both multinational organizations, including Chiquita Brands and Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), and local companies in Costa Rica from retail, banking and telecommunications industries.• Performed the lead consultant role in several engagements and actively involved with the executive team on the customer side, as well as the lower levels of the organization in order to accurately develop the data gathering activities of the projects.

G4S, formerly Securicor Segura, is the world's leading international security solutions group. Reporting directly to the CEO in Costa Rica, I supported multiple initiatives on areas like: Strategic Planning, Project Management, New Products Development (NPD) and Information Systems Analysis, among others.Securicor Segura had an strong influence from Thomas Greg and Sons, an important group from Colombia (co-owner of the company along with Securicor from UK), so for the NPD initiatives I had the opportunity to visit and leverage the know-how from the Colombian operation.
