As an Admissions Representative at UCLA Undergraduate Admissions, I specialized in transfer and first-year recruitment. I had the following responsibilities while in this role:- Acted as the admission representative for 14 CA community colleges in the Inland Empire and greater Los Angeles region.- Acted as the admission representative for 30 high schools in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, and for the states of Floria and Georgia.- Conducted presentations on the UCLA admission requirements and resources.- Providing one-on-one advising sessions for prospective students, counselors, and school staff.- Evaluating 1,700 applications annually—from first-year, transfer, and international students—and making admissions recommendations in accordance with institutional policies and priorities. - Collaborating with colleagues to develop effective recruitment and yield strategies and initiatives.

• Oversee the mentorship program which supports about 500 mentees and 150 mentors.• Compose notes and brainstorm programming ideas during weekly meetings.• Collect and assess data by creating Google surveys and analyzing student responses• Facilitate on and off-campus resource referrals for students and visitors.• Plan and host 5+ professional and social events for the transfer community, both virtual and in-person.• Act as a front-desk receptionist by answering phones, greeting visitors, and conducting administrative work.• Conduct student outreach by tabling events, meeting with students 1:1, and speaking at presentations.
