About Ignacio Texeira
I started to work in the Industry in 2012, helping with the management of the mechanical assembly of a big capacity milk powder plant. This work was a great experience, I had to develop relationships with people from different areas, coordinate works with different departments. The existing plant kept working as we expanded it, so there was a lot to coordinate and I was the connection between assemblers and the plant.In 2013 I started to work at Salto Grande Hydropower Plant, making a big change in the type of work. In my first years at Salto Grande I leaded a team that was in charge of implementing an asset management software (EAM-Infor). This implied many changes in the working procedures of the main sectors of the company. It was a very challenging task due to the amount of people and sectors involved, but thanks to a good work in communication and relation building, and with the help of a solid working team, great results were achieved.In 2016 I took an special leave in order to do a master on turbomachinery abroad, with the promise of coming back to apply the new knowledge on the upcoming plant refurbishment. In 2018 I came back after graduating at Duke University and KTH. Now I am working hard on the refurbishment project, studying the actual condition, writing technical reports, and writing specifications about all the aspects that involve the turbine.
