He advised more than 70 library projects, with a total floor area of more than 120,000 m2.He has given advise to architects like Josep Llinás, Miralles Tagliabue EMBT, Federico Soriano, Manuel Brullet, Victor Rahola, Baena Casamor BCQ, Manuel Ruisánchez, Albert Viaplana, Moisés Gallego, Tomàs Morató, Alfons Soldevila, Màrius Quintana, Josep Benedito, MBM Architects, Manuel Ribas Piera, Josep-Lluís Canosa, Dilmé & Fabre, and Batlle & Roig, among others.For nearly two decades he has worked through these projects for the transformation of the public library model, which has made a quantum leap in terms of definition of the physical spaces, and may become a new architectural typology in relation to new needs demanded by the network society.

He worked on the idea, developement, coordination and implementation of the information system for the Modern and Contemporary Architecture Inventory of Barcelona, based on Arches software. He is currently working on content management and coordination of the technical team of AADIPA for this project.The Association of Architects for the Defense and Intervention in Architectural Heritage (AADIPA) aims to contribute to the defense, protection, research and dissemination of architectural heritage through the improvement of the training of its members and by through the management and organization of conferences, seminars, debates, courses, visits, publications, exhibitions and other events related to intervention in historic buildings. Its best-known activity is the annual Course on Intervention in the Architectural Heritage held every December.

The LIBER Architecture Group (LAG) brings librarians together with building projects, and helps to focus concepts and planning processes. It operates as part of LIBER’s Strategic Direction on Research Infrastructure, which in turn is one of the key pillars of our 2018-2022 Strategy.The group furthers the exchange of experience between librarians and architects throughout Europe and attempts to raise the level of awareness of new projects and trends. This is done through our seminars, and via a digital database of Library Buildings in Europe documenting new buildings, renovations, refurbishments and extensions.From LIBER LAG Ignasi has worked especially on the development of the Library Buildings in Europe database.

He is also manager of some of the social profiles of the association.The association works to spread to society a critical and modern awareness about the habitat, landscape, urban and architectural heritage in wich we live.
