Currently focusing my energy on the development of mobile banking and mobile wallet solutions for our African operations. Finding the challenges in Africa very interesting and it affords me to visit countries I otherwise would not. When considering both challenges as an architect I consider the following perspectives to guide my business clients: Revenue generation model, value chain models, business interaction models, operating models, business process models, information models, technology models and more importantly human capital management.I operate at all levels from strategic discussions with the C-level dudes and gals about the value propositions for specific market segments down to the level of supervising code and the ergonomics of solutions we implement if I absolutely must.

Ignatious Thithi is an Electrical and Process Control Engineering post-graduate - both of which he obtained from the University of Cape Town. His employment has largely been in the financial services sector where has fulfilled the roles of a business and process analyst, was appointed as a technical development manager and led a technical innovation unit at one of the major local banks. He currently works for Ovations Technologies as a principal consultant. His areas of interest and speciality are largely in Enterprise Architecture and more specifically, Enterprise Process Management spheres. In this capacity, he has done extensive consultation for major insurance and banking companies locally. While working for one of the major banks he developed an extensive Service Oriented Architecture framework that encompassed principles of master data management, customer management, product catalogue development and management.Ignatious has also done an extensive work with one of the major insurance companies where he helped in the development of a comprehensive Enterprise Business Architecture focusing from the reconciliation of the EBA to business strategy to the work practices. He is currently consulting with a financial authority in Namibia where he is leading the effort to re-architect the authority from the ground up taking into account the dimensions of people, process and technology.

A substantial part of my employment at First National Bank was spent doing research into possible innovative ideas to allow the bank to position between service offerings looking 3 to 5 years ahead. Part of the responsibility was not only to do the research but where ideas were technically feasible, to develop business cases and position them appropriately with the correct divisions within the bank. During my tenure as a technology innovation manager I developed and implemented the following notable business ideas and solutions:• Biometrics research and implementationI conducted extensive biometrics research with a view of implementing banking solutions to reduce the time it takes to positively identify customers during transactions and reduce banking fraud. Specifically, the research and subsequent pilot projects focused on the following biometric element considerations.• Fingerprint biometrics• Voice biometrics and• Facial biometricsThe work and research conducted was done over a period of more than a year and because of the dedication and the focus, it allowed me to acquire extensive experience and knowledge on biometrics as a technical field. In this role, I also sat on the South Africa industry body seeking to standardise the adoption of biometrics between various institutions.• Developed and implemented a mobile banking framework for FNBIn this role I developed and spearheaded the effort to implement the mobile banking framework for the bank. Specifically the research focused on bringing a banking framework to devices such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) devices and tablet PCs which had just been launched.Much of the work in this area involved the following activities:
