Commercial Systems is a part of Information Services (IS) I really have a passion to work for. Unique portfolio of different systems helps PM Russia to stay competitive in a complex changing environment. Being under constant pressure (e.g. tobacco market decline in Russia) and constraints (legislation and taxation changes) we have to be flexible creative and even innovative to achieve customers'​ satisfaction and shareholders'​ contentment.One size does not feet all. However, we are not allowed to reinvent the wheel. Being responsible for project in Commercial Area I have to know what according solutions exist now and what has been done before (both in my local affiliate and Worldwide), what are the known FMCG solutions on the market. Thus, in addition to project management skills successful result delivery requires an understanding of current business processes, existing gaps and thinking out of the box to address known issues. Additional value for me as PMI employee is a possibility to leverage on best practice examples and expertise of our suppliers and colleagues from all over the World. Therefore, communication is a key to success as well.Project manager is a partner for the business. I have to speak the same language, contribute into the discussions providing constructive feedback. In addition to that I have to perform my day-to-day duties as a project manager. Let's not forget technical background and experience to be able to manage software suppliers using absolutely different language and knowledge.In fact, each project requires unique mixture of soft and hard skills. As for me it is a great opportunity to learn something new, to get new experience and connections.

SIMPLE is the leading russian importer and distributor of premium wines and accessories. I was responsible for design, setup, roll-out and continuous improvement of ERP system based on Microsoft Navision platform (with aprox. 200 users). Among a lot of initiatives were done the most significant are:- fully automated alcoholic declaration preparation process- customizable module for compensations and benefits calculation (for salespersons)- demand forecasting module for supply chain planning (from purchase till accommodation in stock) - unified business intelligence solution based on QlikView technology In addition to managing the projects I managed people (there were 7 direct subordinates, developers and business analytics). As a team we were client oriented and driven by motivation to be the best and the most successful on the market.I've got an experience of working with software vendors (like Lanit, ImpactSoft) and Ernst&Young as consultant Agency. I am really proud of having worked for SIMPLE with the best professionals. I’ve got a lot of knowledge and expertise from those guys who were responsible for Russian wine culture development. In addition I'd like to thank Max Kashirin (SIMPLE president) who perhaps has the greatest charisma among the people I knew. Thank you for your confidence.

The company is responsible for design, development, deployment and maintenance of information systems based on IBM and SAP platforms for the needs of Russian Railways. Together with my colleagues, as a team we participated in projects mostly on design phase with the focus on new system/solution alignment with existing landscape (in terms of business processes and data flows). I received a valuable knowledge related to use cases preparation and validation.
