CurrentCommercial Systems is a part of Information Services (IS) I really have a passion to work for. Unique portfolio of different systems helps PM Russia to stay competitive in a complex changing environment. Being under constant pressure (e.g. tobacco market decline in Russia) and constraints (legislation and taxation changes) we have to be flexible creative and even innovative to achieve customers' satisfaction and shareholders' contentment.One size does not feet all. However, we are not allowed to reinvent the wheel. Being responsible for project in Commercial Area I have to know what according solutions exist now and what has been done before (both in my local affiliate and Worldwide), what are the known FMCG solutions on the market. Thus, in addition to project management skills successful result delivery requires an understanding of current business processes, existing gaps and thinking out of the box to address known issues. Additional value for me as PMI employee is a possibility to leverage on best practice examples and expertise of our suppliers and colleagues from all over the World. Therefore, communication is a key to success as well.Project manager is a partner for the business. I have to speak the same language, contribute into the discussions providing constructive feedback. In addition to that I have to perform my day-to-day duties as a project manager. Let's not forget technical background and experience to be able to manage software suppliers using absolutely different language and knowledge.In fact, each project requires unique mixture of soft and hard skills. As for me it is a great opportunity to learn something new, to get new experience and connections.
