Transportation Coordinator
Current• Responsible for transportation carrier management both internationally and domestically including Ocean Freight, Air Freight, FTL, Rail Intermodal, LTL and Parcel modes - manage carrier selection, lane assignment and routing determination ensuring high service levels achieved at appropriate rates; monitor carrier performance and takes corrective action as appropriate, troubleshoot and resolve daily transportation issues as necessary; manage company’s TMS• Manage all customs and logistics activities related to importations from overseas, responsible for researching and determining the proper HTS classification of company’s imports• In charge of the company’s customs compliance - perform import audits; conduct monthly import duties reconciliation for U.S. Customs of all company’s imports, lead and support CBP compliance initiatives as required• Manage and continuously improve the freight payment processes - responsible for the management of the company’s third party freight payment provider; collaborate with company’s Finance and A/P departments to ensure payments are processed accurately and efficiently; manage relevant systems and data with third party to achieve accurate and timely payments to carriers• Manage company’s import duty drawback process, compiling all the needed documentation and making sure the application is filled out properly and submitted by deadline
