Evaluating platforms and technologies by building POC / pilots end-to-end:• 3D modelling (Blender) of equipment to use for interactive training materials. Building web sites for these interactivities using Zappar, plain HTML / JavaScript with Google’s model-viewer (Three.js based) and now Unity.• Pilot implementation of web hosted 360-degree premises walkthroughs to allow students inspect building completely remotely with no need to visit it in-person.• Researching photogrammetry software and techniques to ensure real life quality results.• Evaluation of virtual classroom software (Cisco, Zoom, MS Teams, Adobe connect, etc.) focusing on educational needs, reliability and ease of use to build unique room for online delivery, resulting in successful pilot highly rated by teachers adopting it.• Design and evaluation of Audio/Video solutions, including mobile, to build generic and inexpensive way to convert any workspace to virtual classrooms and for recording video materials. These designs had laid the basis for Specialist Connected Learning Points.• Assembled CNC robotic gardening system, piloted for possible use in education. Was designing custom components in CAD for printing out and use for enhancing this system and add extra functionalities.Standalone Solutions:• Testing AR/VR (augmented and virtual reality) learning modules with several POC and learning modules released that got no defect reports from the field.• Evaluating products both for development of learning materials and for use in learning process as helper tools. Technologies include speech recognition, text-to-speech, plagiarism checking, tools to verify accessibility standards, etc. • Web testing (including accessibility) of online Learning Management System features as well as interactive content within lessons. Development done both internally and by 3rd parties. Biggest of which was a migration of set of AMES courses (Adult Migrant English Service) from Flash to HTML.
