Current• contribute to system wide software development and enhancements to the production applications part of the Information Tracking System (ITS), the various Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and any new systems for the Joint Genome Institute (JGI) • achieved a significant reduction of the development/release cycles by leveraging the best development practices based on a micro-service approach, coupled with an automated continuous delivery pipeline, allowing for unit, integrated and functional testing, visualization of chained pipeline jobs• embrace a behavior driven development, where functional testing becomes an integral part, starting point, and driving force of development• leverage Spring Boot framework - the latest JAVA based platform, allowing for production ready robust code, combined with an application health and performance monitors• provide technical direction and analysis of complex problems at both the enterprise system level as well as at the level of the day-to-day activities of members of the Production Informatics team• manage the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of software systems, as well as help direct the day-to-day activities of other programmers on existing and new software systems• develop a wide range of biological software along with specialized genomic databases using relational database management systems as well as novel large-scale algorithms, and associated software for DNA sequence analysis
