• Worked on a project aiming to identify the +1 transcription start site for the mntH gene in S. mutans, using 5’ Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends (5’RACE)
• Worked on a project investigating promoter-proximal mutations and their impacts on downstream mntH gene expression
• The mntH gene is regulated by the SloR metalloregulator in S. mutans
• Successful characterization of this and other SloR-regulated targets in S. mutans can inform the design and identification of potential therapeutics for chronic dental caries, as S. mutans is the primary causative.

• Worked on a project related to a HepG2 early cellular safety assay to model in vivo drug toxicity outcomes
• Designed a project by choosing more than one hundred commercially available compounds which have not been tested to compare with the pre-existing studies such as BSEP assay as a model for predicting Drug Induced Liver.
• Performed assays and analyzed the data using NIBR software
• Proposed improvements for the assay such as pooling multiple drugs to check for synergistic effects and using spheroid cultures
