Provide tooling and plastics design and manufacturing expertise to development team, including tooling and molding feasibility analysis, post-molding and finishing scheme, design for manufacturing(part level) analysis.Provide tooling design concept. Be responsible for tooling design review, drawing approval and kick-off.Management of overall manufacturing operations for tooling parts, e.g. RFQ assistance, tooling specification, mold test report, ISR(Initial Sample Review), corrective actions, process setup, delivery to support pilot builds… etc.Interface with development team, factory and suppliers to define and manage manufacturing strategies for tooling, inj.molding/stamping/die casting, cosmetic part decorating and labeling, and manufacturing operations.Establish tooling schedule that can meet the project time lines, monitor the process to ensure the quality and progress.Be responsible for tool quality assurance, conduct tooling buy-off and transfer as required.Trouble shooting to resolve manufacturing issues related to inj.molding process, tooling fabrication, stamping, die casting, cosmetic decorating and labeling… etc.Lead and execute cost saving project through introduction of new materials, processes and creative designs.

Communicate with customer to understand requirement fully, evaluate the product design according basic requirement of production and machining process, and advise to improve the design according evaluation report.Transfer customer's information and requirement to relative dept. Via engineering meeting for project launching, and record.Arrange tooling designer to layout according customer's requirement, once it's done, review the tooling layout with customer and confirm them finally. Then send to document control guys for layout releasing and record.Before machining start, discuss on machining process with tooling machining dept and confirm them finally.Lead project team to follow up the schedule and update it to GM weekly, negotiate with machining department to expediate for delayed schedule.Lead the team to attend tooling trial run, arrange engineer to issue ECN for the problems.Report the trial run result to customer and delivery samples to them.Deal feedback and complaining from customer.
