This manager provides management and oversight to a learning team within a specific functional area.Responsible for the prioritization of the team's work, handling escalation of issues to senior leadership and problem resolution. The leader implements models, tools and training to drive performance and meet objectives. Consults with management to identify performance needs and develop solutions to support organizational objectives. Time may be divided between management and functional responsibilities. The primary purpose of this position is to provide full, daily management for assigned professional staff. This responsibility includes hiring, discipline, and termination, as well as, coaching, performance management, assigning, checking, and approving work to satisfy department objectives. I am a member of the Learning & Support Team of the South America Area who serves line management by providing learning, support and services to Compassion’s Field Offices for effective, high quality implementation and communication within a set of assigned specializations. The Learning and Support Specialist works closely with the appropriate IPG (International Program) functions (specifically Sponsor Donor Services, and other functions as assigned) by influencing and collaborating on overall functional development.
