I have worked in financial services regulation since 2009, and have since led prudential supervision of a number of major insurance groups active in the UK and internationally. Before that, I spent 10 years working for international management advisory and risk consulting practices of Marsh & McLennan (MMC Enterprise Risk), Deloitte and IBM, working primarily in the UK, but also on projects in Europe. My early career was at a leading Croatian universal bank, Zagrebacka Banka (now part of Unicredito Group) in corporate lending and also at the Board office holding organisational transformation leadership roles. Subsequently I spent a few years working as an investment manager at Hodgson Martin, a niche private equity manager based in Edinburgh, which co-invested with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the financial services industry. I studied Economic Cybernetics, (BScHons Econ) majoring in economics and management science, at the Josip Juray Strossmayer University (Osijek, Croatia), where I briefly worked as a researcher and teaching assistant (Dept of Statistics and Cybernetics). As one of the UK Foreign Office Chevening scholars, I went on to study at the Strathclyde Graduate School of Business in Glasgow where I completed my MBA.
