Ph.D. focused on the characterization of the mechanical properties of delta-zirconium hydride in a Zr2.5%Nb matrix.The characterization was done using a combination of micro-mechanical testing and numerical and analytical models. The main techniques applied to the characterization were: • Nanoindentation; • Micropillars compression; • Scanning electron microscopy; • Synchrotron X-ray diffraction; • Atomic force microscopy.Also, I have a extense experience in metallography, sample preparation, wet-lab, data analysis and presentation, and laboratory safety.I hold a WHMIS certificate and Radiation Safety training.

Research and developement of new products applied to the dentistry industry. I actively participated in the development from begining to end in five projects. They were from the following dentistry topics:• Prevention (polymeric materials using photopolymerization; applied to fissures and cracks);• Cementation (polymeric based materials using chemical and photo polymerization); • Temporary restaurations (polymeric based materials; high color accuracy to biomimetize the range of color presented in nature);• Restaurations (low viscosity and good mechanical properties photopolymerized material).The developed products are now part of the Yller Biomaterials portfolio (https://www.yller.com.br/produtos/), only available in portuguese.
