My journey began in Picada Café, a town of 5000 people in the mountains of South Brazil. At 16, I left for Sedro-Woolley, north of Seattle. Two small worlds, worlds apart. At 17, I was back and lost. At 19, I founded Nordweg.My parents met in a shoe factory. Later, they built their own factory, crafting leather bags for women. But as markets shifted and competition grew, quality alone wasn't enough. We needed to stand out.Family businesses are tough. Change is tougher. At 19, full of big ideas, I hit walls of 'we've always done it this way.' This friction sparked Nordweg – a brand for men, designed to carry laptops which were becoming popular and would soon be indispensable.They said men don't buy bags. Six years later, we were buying 50% of my parents' factory output. A year later, 100%. My father's dream realized.Today, Nordweg sells globally, both online and through retailers. We've crafted for Samsung, XP Investments, Cummins, Intel, Vaio. Big names, bigger projects. As we work to establish a new office in Austin, Texas, our vision for growth continues without borders.I'm an adventurer at heart. The woods call me, yet here I am, crafting luxury goods. This contrast fuels our innovation. We use technology to bridge ideas and solutions. Code is our LEGO set, building endless possibilities.I've learned that the best way to grow is to give, to create value, to be helpful.
