Developed and executed “quality growth” strategy that focused the Bank’s resources on most attractive and profitable client segments – increased growth rate of originations from 45% (2003) to over 140% in 2007; portfolio delinquency rate under 3% with zero-loss rate as of 06/2009 (best performance amongst an international peer group of competitors). Recruited and lead international professional management team. Restructured the balance sheet and put in place a scalable funding model. Implemented a significant - 50% - reduction of headcount and a 30%+ total cost reduction (5-year cost-income ratio reduction from >100% to 42%). Lead a change management program aimed at complete redesign of core business processes and corporate culture – target results of US level productivity achieved within 9 months (cost, time, quality improvements). Implemented best-in-class corporate governance model and increased corporate ratings to investment grade. Succeeded in bringing back existing lenders to re-open credit lines and brought in new investors with over $100 million raised in the first 6 months (OPIC, GE Asset Mgmt.), and ~$1.5b attracted over 5 years in domestic and international markets. Executed aggressive three-pronged growth strategy – geographic expansion, sales effectiveness, and distribution leadership; result – 3rd largest purchase money mortgage lender in the country. Lead strategic sale to Societe Generale Group (bank initially owned by the U.S.-based Delta Private Equity Partners); integrated the Bank fully into the Group within 6 months with no losses of senior management and an increase in profitability and growth rate; the Bank today is the only profitable subsidiary for SG Group in the country with one of the highest ROE's among SG subsidiaries in the world.
