Strategic planning and programme management (14 projects: shelter, water infrastructure, camp management) in response to Typhoon Bopha, negotiation and successful cooperation with different stakeholders and authorities, staff supervision (3 engineers), budget management, and reporting.

Feyẕābād, Afghanistan

Project management for the construction of the new orthopedic center in Faizabad (surface: 1700 sqm), from the design (architectural, structural, detailed, plumbing, electrical and HVAC) to the opening of the building site.

Beirut, Lebanon

Support for the engineering and architectural aspects in multidisciplinary projects (irrigation, interior design, conservation of heritage), management of the professionals involved as designers and site managers, administrative check of the compliance with the Public Works Law, and reporting.

Milan Area, Italy

In addition to managing the firm, I was in charge of management and design (architectural integrated design and structural design) of urban and rural construction projects. Outputs: 20 permanent houses for tsunami affected families in Sri Lanka; farm (10 acres), crisis center and training center in Kenya; study for a prototype of a prefabricated delivery room in Haiti; study on low-cost measures to upgrade standard shelter in Afghanistan; photo exhibition on Afghanistan.

Kabul, Afghanistan

Support to the reintegration of 300 returnee families in Beni Warsak (Kabul), staff management (20 persons), formalization of agreements with local partners, selection and supervision of contractors and suppliers, budget management and reporting. Outputs: 160 permanent shelters, 300 latrines, 1 clinic, 1 community centre and 1 borehole.

Perego, Italy

In addition to managing the studio (5 partners, 2 employees), I was in charge of: project management, cost benefit analysis, feasibility study, urban design, architectural integrated design, interior design, engineering design (structural design, building energy analysis), and science journalism on the subject of construction technology. Outputs: 24 flats building in Perego (IT); 6 flats building in Paina (IT); boutiques in Las Vegas (USA), Dubai (UAE), London (UK), Rome (IT), Riga (LV); technical and economic feasibility studies for real estate investments in the residential, industrial and commercial field in northern Italy; technical articles for various websites.

Galle, Sri Lanka

Support to the communities affected by the Tsunami: staff (7 persons) and budget (0.6 million Euro) management, formalization of agreements with local partners, selection and supervision of contractors and suppliers, and reporting. Outputs: 87 permanent houses, 8 community centres and 1 kindergarten.
