Graduated from Deira International School in May 2014. Took a gap year from 2014 to 2015 where I worked as a Teaching Assistant, Receptionist, and Sound Technician for the same school. In 2015, I enrolled into UCLA to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Physics, which I earned in 2019. While at UCLA, I worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Los Angeles Math Circle for 2 years, conducted astronomy research into black mergers, tutored math privately, and became a member of the Women in Physical Sciences organization, a group which aims to support women in STEM. At UCLA I developed a deeper interest in quantum mechanics, discovered how exciting it is to work with electronics, and have learned a lot about myself. Having earned my Physics degree, I decided to experience experimental research and started my current position as a Lab Assistant in Paul Hamilton's AMO group. In the lab, I get to acquire first hand experience with optical equipment and learn more about how to use these to perform insightful experiments. With these and other tools I've acquired throughout my education and work, I look forward to developing an exciting professional career.
