Specialist, Partnerships & Technical Cooperation
CurrentAt the Global Fund I have progressive responsibilities in working with key bilateral and multilateral organizations. My current focus is strengthening partnerships through mapping programs' (US$14 billion) needs and partners' capacities, negotiations with bilateral and multilateral partners to identify and leverage additional resources at the central, regional and country levels to support program planning and implementation. Bilateral partners included US, French and German governments and technical agencies, multilateral institutions included WHO, UNAIDS, UNITAID, STOPTB Partnership and Roll Back Malaria.Since 2009 I held several positions within the Global Fund Secretariat including Lead Analyst in Health Systems Strengthening, Associate Specialist in Hub for Technical Cooperation, Associate Specialist in Hub for Country Coordinating Mechanisms, Senior Program Officer in East and South Africa Regional Team. Growing responsibilities within positions held include, but not limited to:- Coordination of donors and technical partners to improve grant implementation, quality improvement and scale up;- Development of technical and operational guidance on the Global Fund approach to building Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health;- Support of country dialogues, including negotiations with partners to identify needs and establish systematic approaches to long-term support and capacity building;- Review of country governance platforms;- Design and implementation “prevention of treatment disruptions and stock-outs” initiative.
