At this point, I've been dabbling with GNU/Linux professionally for nearly a decade. I have a vested interest in UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems (GNU/Linux and *BSDs). I think that software-defined things are the bee's knees.Being a sysadmin monkey, I've deployed, maintained and documented various open source solutions, such as mail, file sharing, web and database servers, as well as various other building blocks of an enterprise IT architecture. With regards to automation, I currently prefer Ansible, though I don't mind picking up Chef, Salt or Puppet (mgmt is dope!). When it comes to infrastructure testing, Serverspec <3.I'm a somewhat competent programmer, primarily in Python, with decent knowledge of shell scripting (bash). I have a soft spot for Ruby, Go and JavaScript, despite not being very good at any of those languages.:) Most of my open source contributions come in the form of documentation enhancements, since I consider the quality of the documentation to be a major contributor to the quality of a software component. I've contributed to numerous projects so far, including the Linux kernel, systemd, mypy, fabric8, helm, akmods and lxd. I find fixing typos relaxing.:)Aside from the plain sysadmin landscape described above, I've done my share in the consulting trenches; I've worked on-site with the Release System Test team for an off-and-on period of a year or so, working on Ericsson's HDS 8000 product. I've also done over a year of remote work on an Ericsson 5G cloud-related project (related to Kubernetes, CI and CD). I'm actively involved in planning and implementing complex migrations and new solutions for our customers, ranging from old-school infrastructure projects to greenfield OpenShift implementations.Here be dragons: I like both AppArmor and SELinux. I'm a bit more competent with SELinux, but I've done talks on both, and I've even done a workshop about SELinux once. Some of the materials used can be found on my web site.
