A Renewable Energy and Hydropower expert having more than 20 years of experience in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South East Asia with reputable Consultants, Developers, and Government entities in the Energy and Power sectors. During these 20 years, he was involved in the development of Hydropower Projects from inception to execution. Leading the portfolio of Renewable Energy Projects, Hydropower Development and head of function for Tariff and Commercial. Regarding technical activities, I have lead and completed more than 20 feasibility studies, details design studies for Hydropower Projects ranging from 3MW to 884MW, and 5 feasibility studies of Solar PV projects of an accumulative capacity of 250MW. I was involved in constructing 8 hydropower Projects in East Africa, Indonesia, and Pakistan. I am head of the function for the Tariff and Commercial directorate where I lead the Tariff petition, Negotiation, with the National Power Regulator, NEPRA and EPC contractors respectively.Over the last 8 years besides being involved in Hydropower Projects in the Private sector and Public Private Partnership, Investment attraction.     Halim was heading Renewable Energy Projects/Private Power as a Chief Engineer, working on multi-billion dollar Renewable Energy and hydropower Projects having a total capacity of 4000+ MW, IPP and PPP mode of development. Besides Technical appraisal, other key responsibilities are Business development, attracting Private Sector Investment, Approval/Issuance of Letter of Intent, facilitation in Letter of Support, Devising Investor friendly Policies, and generating different avenues for the Private Sector Investment. Conducted first-ever tariff-based bidding for the hydropower Projects through NEPRA-approved RFP, where two projects of 201MW capacity got approval. For the first time, KP initiated a 496MW Hydropower project in PPP mode and 2 projects of 284MW are in the development stages through IFC.

    I joined BAK Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd as a Principal Engineer for Hydropower projects. I was involved in leading the Feasibility Studies and design for two Hydropower Projects located in KP province.
