I am an experienced hydraulic and water resources engineer with 20 years of expertise in various areas. My skills encompass watershed hydrology, open channel hydraulics, 1D and 2D flood routing, and flood hazard mapping using GIS. I possess extensive knowledge in flood risk modeling and mapping, which aligns with the FEMA Flood Risk Mapping program and standards. Moreover, I am skilled in statistical analysis of hydrological data and Geographic Information Systems. My proficiency includes hydrologic, hydraulic, and statistical modeling as well as the utilization of software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-HMS, FLO-2D, R, Matlab, AnyLogic, ArcGIS, and QGIS. Furthermore, I have significant experience in laboratory experiments and physical modeling, as well as field measurements. I have authored a book chapter, numerous journal papers, and conference proceedings focusing on theoretical and engineering hydrology and flood modeling. Lastly, I teach a range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, including Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics and Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Applications for Civil Engineers (Excel, AutoCAD, GIS), and Engineering Statistics.
