I am the Maori Ward Councillor for Kaipara District Council. In my first term I will fiercely advocate for the things that matter in the Kaipara including the environment, our people and affordable housing.In my main role I am part of developing Te Runanga o Ngāti Whātua's Te Taiao Department.My background prior to working for one of my iwi was in the legal sector primarily practicing in civil ligation as well as working with Māori.An avid cross-fitter, I enjoy spending my free time with friends, family and in the outdoors. I have a young son who is 9 years old and loves swimming, shaolin kemp and soccer. Of Te Roroa and Ngāti Whatua descent, I enjoy being involvement in my community including acting as a Board member of the Dargaville Youth Charitable Trust, supporting and developing my marae and whanau's aspirations and having served a term for my other iwi on Te Roroa Board of Trustees.
